The winger admitted he was pleased to return to the squad and find the net. Yarmolenko was quick to credit the manager, stating he thanked him immediately after the final whistle for the opportunity and the emotions involved.

Regarding questions about closing in on Andriy Shevchenko's goal-scoring record, the forward insisted he is not focused on the milestone. His primary goal remains helping the team and supporting the development of younger players.
On the tactical front, Yarmolenko noted that the team had undergone extensive theoretical training over the past three days. The players received detailed instructions on positioning and movement. He acknowledged that while the squad needs more time to fully adapt to the new ideas, there were clear positive signs in the performance against Poland.
