Brazil have received a major boost ahead of their final World Cup group stage match against Scotland. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Neymar has recovered from the calf injury he sustained at Santos and is fit enough to play the full 90 minutes.
After initially joining the squad while nursing the complaint, Neymar returned to full training this week for the first time. Ancelotti praised the 34-year-old's attitude and physical condition during his recovery process.
He is available, he trained very well this week, he is fit and able and ready to play. He can play half the time or the whole 90 minutes. He is very serious and we want to put him back to play as soon as possible. Carlo Ancelotti
The return of the star forward is crucial for the Selecao, especially with Raphinha sidelined by a hamstring injury picked up in the 3-0 victory over Haiti. Ancelotti confirmed that other options, including Rayan, Endrick, and Igor Thiago, remain available to provide cover in the final third.
Looking ahead to the match, the Brazil boss expressed caution regarding the challenge posed by Scotland. He highlighted the experience and organization of players like Scott McTominay and John McGinn, insisting that there are no easy games left in the tournament.
