Alex Scott sidelined for two months after England debut

Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott will miss up to eight weeks of action following a quadriceps injury sustained during international duty.

Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has been ruled out for six to eight weeks after picking up a quadriceps injury while on international duty with England.

The setback comes following a successful week for the 23-year-old, who made his international debut in a 2-0 win over the Czech Republic and started the 7-0 UEFA Nations League thrashing of Croatia. Despite experiencing discomfort before the Croatia game, Scott played 70 minutes, earning significant praise from England manager Thomas Tuchel.

"First match, and what a start, what a game! He is so fluid with the ball, makes decisions at the highest level. He plays with such confidence, so active. He is just perfect." Thomas Tuchel

This injury is a major blow for Bournemouth ahead of an intense period. Between October 10 and November 8, Marco Rose's side faces nine matches across the Premier League, Europa League, and League Cup, including high-profile clashes against the likes of AC Milan and Aston Villa.
