Al-Diriyah eyes Al-Ittihad's Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, player responds with high demands

Newly promoted Saudi Pro League side Al-Diriyah have set their sights on strengthening their squad with Al-Ittihad's Ahmed Al-Ghamdi. The club has lodged an official offer for the 24-year-old winger during the summer transfer window.
According to Asharq Al-Awsat, the player is currently hesitant about a move. Al-Ghamdi is keen to remain at Al-Ittihad, where he enjoyed a productive campaign under Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao, contributing 3 goals and 4 assists across 34 appearances.
While Al-Ghamdi has not completely ruled out a transfer, he has made his stance clear to Al-Diriyah by setting demanding terms. He is only willing to consider a departure if the deal includes a long-term contract and a salary significantly higher than his current earnings at Al-Ittihad.
The situation puts pressure on Al-Ittihad, as the player's contract is set to expire at the end of the upcoming season. If the club fails to reach an agreement on a renewal, Al-Ghamdi could leave for free next summer.
