AC Milan defeat Manchester United in high-scoring friendly
AC Milan closed their pre-season with a 4-2 victory over Manchester United. Santiago Gimenez missed the game due to injury.

In their final pre-season match, AC Milan secured an impressive 4-2 victory against Manchester United. The game, held in Poland, served as a key test for Ruben Amorim's squad ahead of the 2026-27 Serie A campaign.
The match started quickly with Harry Maguire opening the scoring in the second minute, but Milan responded through Samuel Chukwueze before halftime. In the second half, Patrick Dorgu restored the lead for the English side, only for the Italian team to dominate the remainder of the match.
Alphadjo Cisse equalized in the 57th minute, followed by a goal from Goncalo Ramos in his debut for the club. Ruben Loftus-Cheek sealed the 4-2 win shortly after.
Forward Santiago Gimenez was sidelined for the match due to an ankle injury sustained during the 2026 World Cup Round of 16. Despite ongoing rumors linking him to Porto and Real Betis, manager Ruben Amorim clarified that the player is not for sale and his current absence is solely due to his recovery process.
