Aberdeen lose 500 semi-final tickets after pitch invasion

Aberdeen have had their ticket allocation for the upcoming Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Rangers reduced by 500 seats. The decision follows disciplinary action taken by the SPFL after incidents during their previous round away to Kilmarnock.

During that match at Rugby Park, some supporters entered the pitch following the club's penalty shoot-out victory. Additionally, a pyrotechnics display was reported among the visiting fans, leading to the sanction.

Before the reduction, Aberdeen had secured approximately 17,000 tickets for the semi-final scheduled at Hampden Park on 31 October. Under the terms of the penalty, the club is also required to cover the financial cost of the seats lost due to the restriction.
