2030 World Cup: Hosts, Qualified Teams, and Key Dates

The 2030 World Cup will be a unique milestone in football history, as the tournament is set to be hosted across six countries spanning three continents. Morocco, Portugal, and Spain will serve as the primary hosts, staging the vast majority of the 101 scheduled matches.

In addition to the main hosts, Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay will also play a significant role. These South American nations will host celebratory matches to mark the centenary of the first World Cup, which was held in Uruguay in 1930.

All six host nations have been granted automatic qualification for the tournament. To accommodate the unprecedented logistics, FIFA has established a special calendar. The commemorative matches in South America are scheduled for June 8 and 9, 2030, allowing teams time to travel and adapt before the main competition sequence begins.

The official opening ceremony and the first matches of the main tournament are expected to take place on June 13 or 14, 2030. The final is currently scheduled for July 21, 2030.
